Delegates attending this course, focussed purely upon neurovascular disease/therapy, Their backgrounds are predominantly neurology , neuroradiology , neurosurgery all wishing to receive training in neuroendovascular therapy.

Each cycle comprises 4 courses, over 2 years, each intense theoretical 4-5-days, comprising lectures, small group tutorials and formative quizzes/tests.

Topics covered in the training 

The course covers embryology, neuroanatomy, vascular anatomy, neuroimaging, clinical neuroscience, pharmacology, haematology, bioengineering, Diagnostic and syndromes ,Clinical epidemiology and prevention, natural history and pathophysiology of neurovascular disease and management including critical care ,Therapeutic strategies and neurorehabilitation - and all delivered by experts in their field from all over the world ,  USA , Europe,  MENA-region, Japan .

Much of the theoretical knowledge outlined by the Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training

(CAST) in their recommendations for acquiring competence in endovascular neurointervention, is covered by this two-year course.

  • Couse 1: main theme: Basic science (anatomy , Physiology , Pharmacology ) and skull base disease including arteriovenous dural fistulas, vascular skull base tumours and venous disease.
  • Course 2: main theme: aneurysms, subarachnoid haemorrhage and delayed cerebral ischaemia
  • Course 3: main theme: ischaemic stroke
  • Course 4: main theme: brain and spinal vascular malformations
